July and August were filled with on Celadon Hill visits! We hosted Children’s Flower Hour, Bagels and Blooms and Create Your Own Bouquet events. Friends and family stopped by too!

My Mom (on the right ) with her friend stopped by one morning for a quick tour and a bucket of blooms

Children’s Flower Hour included a flower themed story, scavenger hunt and pick your own stems. The highlight of every hour is snack time with the chickens.

Flower lovers enjoyed our Create Your Own Bouquet event too. We had cold drinks, a stroll through the flowers and then making a jar arrangement. I loved talking flowers with the ladies!

The flower of the moment is the Queen Lime Zinnia. Muted tones of pink, yellow, orange and green combine to make this bloom perfect for every summer mix.

As the summer winds down, I’m starting to think about fall planting. That always includes lots of tulips! Again this year, I’m offering the same bulbs that I plant for sale on our website. Fancy double and peony style tulip varieties in stunning colors will be for order September 1st with pick up at the end of October. Each order includes a bulb planting instructions. And by request, new this year, we are offering Ranunculus corms! These varieties are not found in stores, only through direct suppliers. Start thinking about your spring garden and shop September 1st through September 30th.
