August brought a brief relief to the heat and drought of July.
Over the course of a 10 days, the flower field went from brown and dry and green and lush.
The Limelight Hydrangeas bloomed right on cue, always an August favorite.
The Eucalyptus is growing nicely and will be ready cut when the leaves have a leather type feel.
I’m so grateful for flower buyers at Kenilworth Farmer’s Market and Overlea Farmer’s Market.
The best thing about August is that the DAHLIAS have really started blooming. They love the cool nights!
Cosmos and Gomphrena are back with a flourish. Look for them in our bouquets and buckets.
The brief relief from the heat was welcome. Look for me at Kenilworth Farmer’s Market on Tuesdays under the parking pad from 3pm-6pm and at Overlea Farmer’s Market on August 31st, September 14th and September 28th- 8:30am-12:30pm.
During one of the crisp days, I weeded the peony field. As always, Archie was my helper.
We are so ready for Autumn!
