Mid July Flower Beds

It’s July and the weather in the Mid Atlantic is hazy, hot and humid. Some call it a “lull” with not many events, vacations and days spent searching for ways to cool off!

Mountain Mint

Perennials like Mountain Mint are starting to shine and are ready for cutting. Mountain Mint is the perfect pollinator plant and great addition to mixed bouquets. It’s not invasive like standard mint.

Zinnias

Heat loving zinnias bring the color! We succession plant zinnias so they are always available and vibrant!

New plantings of Zinnia and Amaranth

July is the perfect time to take a little break, clean out old beds and direct seed, plant and plan for late summer and fall blooms, like Amaranth.

Petal Pick Up at Celadon Hill

Bring the beauty of the season inside! We are excited to offer Petal Pick Ups at Celadon Hill. Order and pay online and pick up your mixed bouquet at our location. Monday through Friday availability.

Overlea Farmer’s Market

Look for us at Overlea Farmer’s Market this summer! It’s a biweekly market- July 24th, August 7th, August 21st, September 18th, October 2nd and October 16th. Great little market located across from St. Michael the Archangel Church.

July is also the perfect time for a little rest and recharge at the beach. This sunrise was so peaceful and stunning. Stay cool and enjoy all the season has to offer! Thanks for following and choosing locally grown flowers.
