June is the month for flowers. Everything planted in the fall and early spring is starting to bloom.

Scabiosa was transplanted last fall. The cool weather helps their root systems to grow strong.

As I write this, I’m feeling the typical summer slow down. Spring flowers are waning and summer flowers are just getting started. The demand for flowers dips as folks go on vacation and embark on summer adventures. We’re still growing, just not as much.

Find me in July at the Farmer’s Market in Overlea on Saturday, July 20th 8:30am-12:30pm

Find me in July at the Farmer’s Market at Kenilworth on Tuesdays, July 2nd, July 16th, 23rd, and 30th 3pm-6pm.

If you need flowers for an event or party, please think of locally grown Buckets of Blooms!

If you want to visit the hill with little or big friends, consider our Children’s Flower Hour and Happy Hour Cut Your Own Bouquet evenings in August.
