Wintertime quiet is a favorite time of year. I love to take long chilly walks, read, study seed catalogs and learn from seasoned professional growers.
Books on my list include Cool Flowers and The Flower Farmer to re-read and a new book on maps and history just for me!
I placed my order for warm season annuals a few weeks ago and now double checking to make sure I didn’t miss anything! A few favorites are Jung, Seed Savers Exchange, Johnny’s and High Mowing Seeds.
Seed starting of hardy annuals begins January 26th!
I’ve discovered, No Till Flowers, an amazing new podcast for home gardeners and small scale farmers. So much information shared by veteran growers.
I’ve also taken full advantage of new online courses offered by Gardener’s Workshop! A wealth of information for all types of flower lovers.
And I’m super excited about our 2021 Spring Subscription. Working on the final details now, look for an email from Celadon Hill February 1, 2021. Subscribers will get first notification!
January is not only a great time to reflect in the calm, it’s also my birthday month. I turned 51 this year and I’m so grateful to be spending the second half of my life doing what I love. Thank you for following!
